🚓 Community Engagement – Golden Flatts Primary School

PCSOs Renyard and Thompson had a fantastic morning attending Golden Flatts Primary School for their Early Years transport event 🚓

Children had the opportunity to explore a police van up close, meet officers, and learn more about how we help keep people safe and of course have a chance to turn on the blue flashing lights!

The event also included support from our emergency service colleagues, with a fire engine and ambulance in attendance, alongside a range of other fantastic vehicles (including PCSO Renyard’s favourite Lightening McQueen) brought in by members of the community giving children a great hands-on learning experience.

PCSO Thompson said: "It was great to see so many smiling faces and the curiosity from the children as they explored the police carrier and had the chance to try on uniform. 
Events like this are a great way to build positive relationships from a young age and help children feel confident and safe around the police."
